One energy store for three complementary renewable technologies.
Our Concept
Imagine a universal, easily deployable structure that houses both true sportsmanship and cutting-edge technology. Capsule Piezoelectric Courts use pioneering piezoelectric, quantum and thermogenerating technologies to generate and store clean energy — while you simply enjoy the game. The air inside is cleaned with special filters.
Now the question is not only who will win, but who will generate more energy?
The project received funding (260k PLN) from the “Granty na Eurogranty” programme by PARP.
Generating Energy
Piezoelectric
Every step is a current
A seemingly ordinary court hides a pioneering piezoelectric coating underneath, generating electrical energy with every step the players take and every bounce of the ball. The layer also enables precise activity mapping for sports analysis.
Quantum
QD-MFC™ — glass that generates
The fibreglass capsule is QD-MFC™ — Quantum Dots Multifunctional Composite: a multifunctional polyester-glass laminate with quantum dots, integrated with 4th generation photovoltaics (BIPV). It generates renewable energy from scattered sunlight.
Thermogenerating
Graphene Thermoelectric Generator
Integrated into the ventilation system, the GTG is the world's first fully flexible, shape-personalised thermoelectric cell based on two-dimensional graphene. It produces electricity from thermal energy.
The energy generated by the court is stored at the back, from where it is distributed to the building or the city grid.
QD-MFC™ — Quantum Dots Multifunctional Composite
A new construction material: a multifunctional polyester-glass laminate with quantum dots — transparent and translucent like glass, yet flexible. The first on a global scale to offer power generation where classic photovoltaics fail: shipbuilding, off-shore, military, rail, aerospace and medical equipment.
Electricity from scattered sunlight
Greater strength with less weight
High impact resistance
High thermal stability
Resistance to fatigue corrosion
Ease of installation
Self-cleaning and antibacterial
